United Arab Emirates (Summer Learning Journey)

Today I am doing the Summer Learning Journey. This is my first Blog Post of one of the Activities I have done.The first reason why I chose the Country United Arab Emirates was because I have always wanted to visit places and landmarks in the United Arab Emirates. I have always wanted to visit Dubai and Abu Dhabi.The Second Reason why I chose United Arab Emirates was because I have always wanted to learn about the United Arab Emirates Culture,Food,Traditions and Etc.

The Haunted House - Editing

The Haunted House

On a Cold Stiff Night at 6:00 the sun visited her friend’s House. Kaitlyn’s Friend’s said,  Do you guys wanna check out the Haunted House. Kaitlyn  said no way,that place is too Scary. Kaitlyn ’s friends said come on Kaitlyn .

Kaitlyn said fine but I'm not going Going Alone. They told their Moons, That they would come back in 40 Minutes. And then they all went into the Wood’s. They saw a Sign say River’s and Haunted House. They took the Haunted house way.There was a sign on the Door, That said do not enter but they did. They were all walking until a Scary Clown, popped and they all Screamed ahhhh.

They saw Lightning and Storms Everywhere. Kaitlyn’s friend’s,were scared like a bat running from a predator.They kept on walking  and then they found a room, that said do not enter.They entered and then they turned the light on,  And saw that the room was full of clown’s and Games that were Extinct .  “Bang” a Clown box fall down.

Some of them were popping up “boom” and the other’s had a button, to press and then it would Laugh. Kaitlyn and her friends ran  quickly like a Cheetah and got out of the Haunted house and out of nowhere a clown Popped up laughing at them.They got out of the Haunted house, and saw a sign in the Wood’s that said keep out. The animal’s  got so scared that they ran  home.

This is my Must do T4W2 Mr Wong said we had to edit our Writing into Simple,Complex and Compound Sentence's. The Yellow stand's for Simple Sentence's,The Green Stands's for Compound and the Purple stand's for Complex Sentence's. 

Haunted House - Editing into Paragraph's

L.I: to write narrative paragraphs using Topic sentence, Details, Concluding sentence.Today for Writing Mr Wong's Group's worked with Mrs McClain because He's not here. Tika Maui worked on Narrative Paragraph's We had to rewrite our Story from Week 9 Term 3 into paragraphs using a topic sentence, details and concluding sentence.We had to take a Screenshot before we edited our Writing and After.

This week for Writing in Tika Maui we had to write a a Narrative.The prompt that I chose was Haunted House. It was fun writing.

This week for our Writing Must do we had to do a Poem based on the Woods,River,Ocean Etc. I worked with my Group first then we had to do our One this is Mine.  We had to use a Noun,Verb,Adjective, and Adverb. A noun is a  naming word, A Verb is a Doing word, A Adjective is a Describing Word and a Adverb is a Explaining Word.

Information Report Writing Frame - Animal

Purpose:	LI - To write an information report that informs the reader about a XXX.
TITLE Remember the title of your information report needs to let the reader know your topic	Cranes
INTRODUCTION What is the information report about? Is your animal known by another name (for example, the scientific name)? What is an interesting fact about your topic?	Intro Cranes fly with their necks outstretched not pulled back. Cranes are a type of bird   that looks alike like flamingos The scientific name for blue cranes is Anthropoides Paradiseus. Cranes are found in all continents except Antarctica and South America.
DESCRIPTION Paragraph 1 Appearance 2-3 sentences about what your animal looks like. Try to include an interesting fact.	Appearance Red crowned cranes look like flamingos but their height is different. Cranes are covered mostly with white feathers except for their red crown ( The neck, legs, and bottom are covered in black feathers. Cranes have long straight  beaks. There are fifteen species of crane in four genera.
DESCRIPTION Paragraph 2 Diet 2-3 sentences about what your animal eats. Try to include brackets () to explain something in greater detail.	Diet Cranes eat a range of food. Cranes eat  a range of items like small rodents,Small fish,Insects,Leaves,seeds and frogs.

Description There are about 15 species of cranes in the world.Red crowned cranes are the second precious cranes living on earth. It lived for 83 years. Scientific Name for Cranes Gruidae
CONCLUSION: A sentence that ends your report with one of your most interesting facts	Conclusion Cranes usually swim in summer months although it depends on the kind of species of cranes. The smallest crane is the  Demoiselle Crane, the tallest is Sarus Crane and the heaviest is Red-crowned Cranes.

This is my Information Report about Cranes I loved working on it it was fun doing an Information Report on Cranes.

Narrative Story

                           Haunted House
Haunted House There was a girl named Kayla and her best friend was Amber. One afternoon Amber came to Kayla's House. Kayla said to her Mum that they were going on a walk. Her Mum said “Come back in 30 minutes”. “Ok” said Kayla. Kayla and Amber went for a walk in the alley way. Then they kept going until Kayla started to notice that they were somewhere they didn't even know. They came to two signs that said woods and river. Kayla and Amber choose to go down the wood's direction. They walked and walked until they saw a Haunted House. Kayla and Amber got closer to the house and saw a sign say that said do not enter. Kayla knocked and knocked but nobody opened the door. Kayla decided they should go in. Amber said “We should not go in because it says that”. Kayla said “There's probably nobody in the house”. “Lets check it out”. “Ok” said Amber. They went inside, they walked closely to each other. They walked and walked, then all of a sudden Amber started to notice that they were going in circles. Kayla and Amber tried to find their way back. They kept walking until a clown popped into her face. The clown laughed while Kayla and Amber were trying to find their way out of this creepy house. They kept running, then another clown popped up and laughed. “Ha, ha, ha” screamed the clown. The clown said “You can't run away from us”. Amber was scared of clowns. Kayla said “Come on, we can get out of here”. They stopped to take a rest and then Amber noticed that they were close to the door. Finally they found the door with a sign on that said “Never come back here again”.The Clowns owned the Haunted House. They were Brothers. Kayla and Amber ran fast like a Cheetah . When they arrived back their faces were pale white. Their Mum said why did you two take so long. Kayla explained the whole story to her mum. Her Mum said ok that explains why you two have took long.
This is my Narrative Story about the Haunted House. I  put every thing in a Narrative you Needed.

Analyzing a Narrative

Today in Learning Space 1 we analyzed a Narrative for Writing. We learned that a narrative has a Beginning, Middle and End. The Beginning has a Hook and an Orientation. The Middle has a Problem and the ending has an ending. Setting,Time,Weather and Place. The Characters were Bill, Bob, John and China. The Narrative we worked on today was about going Hiking.
